Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

well water rights

I purchased my home in Jan 2002 thru owner financing. My contract was for my home as well as water use. In my contract it states that I pay the owner 35 a month for water. The owner sold his property with the included water well that supplies water to 7 families. The new owners took over the well and payments in May 2005. She is now tired of dealing with the well and repairs what are my consumer rights with the well. Can she disconnect me or does the law protect me thru my original contract for water. I do have a letter stating that she will be the new owner and to send her the payments effective May 2005. Now two years later she wants the families to pay for repair to the power lines that supply the well. Are we as the consumer responsible for these repairs.

You and the other families should invest in a consultation with an attorney who can review your contracts and other relevant information.
