Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia
My wife and I are paying off a mortgage loan that an ex husband of hers has on the house and property that we live in. He signed a quit deed on the house, her name is the only name on the taxes at the court house, but he still has the loan that we are paying on. My question is, when the house is paid off who gets the deed? Do we have to take legal action or will the house be turned over to my wife without any problems after the bank is satisfied?

Paying off the loan does not change ownership of real property.
