Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Georgia

High School football coach kicked player in balls

On Friday, while doing a team football lift my lifting coach kicked me in the balls to ''teach'' me not to lift my hips when doing incline lifts. I am in High school and play on the varsity football team. This also endangered my life as I was lifting the weights, luckily my spotter was able to lift all of the weight after my sudden drop. There were several eye witnesses to this event.

Re: High School football coach kicked player in balls

This is not necessarily sexual harassment, unless it was intended to arouse you sexually, or to satisfy his sexual urges, or to create a sexually charged atmosphere. However, it is clearly a battery, perhaps even a criminal battery, and abuse of a student by a teacher. You should report it to the school administration immediately. Unless it was an accident, this teacher needs to be immediately and severely disciplined. Even in a game so rough as football, a coach, who is essentially a teacher, is only allowed reasonable leeway in getting physical with students/players. Kicking you in your privates is not reasonable.
