Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Georgia
sexual harassment / retaliation
After 7 years of employment I was up for a long overdue promotion, but during the processing one of my bosses kept harassing me sexually. I filed a complaint with the EEOC and after 15 months they have found cause for wrongful termination based on retaliation and sexual harassment. Unfortunately at this time my entire life has been altered. I lost my medical benefits, cleaned out my savings, and am in the process of possibly losing my home, not to mention the depression that comes with this. I kept numerous documents, emails, witness names and numbers but now I can not afford the attorney to help me. Is there a law firm that does a contingency for this type of suit?

As Scott said, one of the most important factors is your deadline. From your post, it appears that you have received a "cause" letter from the EEOC, meaning that the EEOC believed that your claim has merit and that you have a right to sue. If that is the case, you only have 90 days from your receipt of that letter in which to file a lawsuit.
Many firms will take good employment cases on a contingency basis, although many of these firms may ask for a retainer to cover some costs of the suit (filing fee, deposition costs, etc.). There are even some firms that will front you these expenses and get reimbursed from any recovery at the end of the case. When you talk with attorneys, make sure that they have significant experience in this type of work--employment cases are difficult for plaintiffs to win, so an experienced attorney can really help.
Our firm handles these cases regularly, and I would be happy to discuss this case with you even if it is just to point you in the right direction.

There are many firms that take solid cases on contingency, especially in larger cities. Ask lawyers you may know for referrals (we don't know where in GA you are). Make sure that cases like yours have been a significant part of their practice - don't retain someone just because they solicit you. We also do not know deadlines, so you need to start the process soon to make sure you meet any deadlines.
