Legal Question in Social Security Law in Georgia
student wants to claim independent
My boyfriend is 20 and is paying for his college. His parents do not pay for his school, car, insurance, anything. They do not claim him as a dependent. How would he become emancipated to be dependent so he could recieve financial aid? He would be able to get parental consent.

The Georgia Student Finance Commission, the website: Georgia College 411 and the Financial Aid Office of his institution of higher learning are all resources for the information that he seeks.
