Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia
I got into an accident in the beginning of July. A guy tried to cut me off my coming 2-3 lanes over to my lane which I was in the far left and I had the green light. ended up hitting him in his left tail light. After I told the guy I hit let's move the cars to the side a little because we would be in the middle of traffic and right after a cop had came and he gave me the ticket for following too closely. I told him and explained to him I had the green light I wasn't switching lanes he was switching. The cop said he's going by what he saw which was the reposition of our cars AFTER the accident. Am I in the wrong?
