Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia
Hi, I believe i can beat my case in court. Hoping i didn't wait too long to get a lawyer to help me in court at 8am on July 31st, 2014
I recieved a ticket on June 8th, 2014 for suspended registration. I never had knowledge of the suspension taking place until getting pulled over by forest park police. The DDS sent the letter regarding my registration being suspend, three days after recieving my ticket. The registration reason is due to an insurance policy ending around February and starting a new six month policy. There was a two week gap between the time the first insurance policy ended and the second one started. The vehicle was also off the road and was broke down due to CV axles. I have reciept's on the parts and rental tools with dates to match the time the car was off the road. Do i stand a strong case beating this case?

You could very easily lose, and besides the hefty fine, get a mandatory suspension of your driver's license. Get a lawyer. It is necessary. In many cases a lawyer may be able to work out a reduction in the charge to a non-suspendable offense with a lower fine. The vehicle being broken down is not a legal defense. With a good lawyer, you may be able to use the facts to lessen the problem.
