Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

Is it common for the judge to give a speed reduction?

I got a speeding ticket 62/45. It's 17 mph over. It's it common for a judge to listen to my explaination about the situation and let me get rid of the points? I can't plea nolo. If so, what's the easiest way to get speed reduction? Thanks.

The best thing to do is talk to the solicitor and try and get it reduced to 14 over (or less) so there will be no points on your license and your insurance won't increase. I would advise hiring local counsel in order to pretty much guarantee the reduction and get you in and out quickly - defendants with attorneys go to the front of the line in most counties.
