Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia
Expired License Tags
My wife was pulled over for expired tags the other day (2 days too late) and instead of a simple fine, the officer gave her a citation because there was another hang up regarding her name change with her social security card versus her license (since we are recently married). That has all been cleared up now but is there any way to send a legal representative to court on her behalf for such a small violation to avoid taking a costly day off of work?? The stated fine is $188, or going to court hoping to get the charge dropped. Any advice. Much appreciated!

Re: Expired License Tags
Only an attorney can represent someone else in court. An attorney will be much more expensive than the listed fines.
