Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia
My husband and I recently moved to Georgia so that I can attend school. I was under the impression that our cars could remain registered in our home state under the multi-state reciprocity agreement since we maintain a residence there. My husband registered a Georgia license for work purposes, but I have kept my state license. We also insured ourselves in Georgia. He was pulled over and given a ticket for failure to register. Do we have to register our car because he has a Georgia license? The officer cited his license and our insurance, but I was under the impression that I should insure in the state where I currently drive as a student. How does this work?
