Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia
Penalties for driving on suspended registration and no insurance? I was arrested in Kennesaw GA for the same, I have gotten the vehicle registered and the insurance back, however lack of money was what brought me to let the insurance lapse thus the registration was suspended and therefore I certainly will not be able to endure any heavy fines? No priors to speak of, 1992 DUI which shows as no disposition for GA, nothing else. Can I do/offer the Solicitor to do community service in lieu of fines or somehow have the charges dismissed after probation?

Just MAKE SURE to take your new registration and proof of insurance to your court date and plea COMPLIANCE. They should dismiss the case. Every county is different, but it will likely be dismissed without any fines or penalty.
