Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia
A got pulled over the other day in Adairsville, GA, the officer simply asked for license & registration; he didn't say why he pulled me over. This officer was actually waiting outside the restaurant I was eating at. I noticed him sitting in his cruiser, lights off, just watching. When I got in my car and started to pull out, he started his car, turned his lights on and followed me. Again he never stated why he pulled me over. My car tags said April and yes I should have had them renewed by the 1st. but being from Los Angeles, the cops give you the whole month before pulling you over. What if my birthday was April 30? Anyway, did he follow proper protocol? Oh and he told me "if you just pay the ticket you don't have to go to court, so just pay it and you won't have to go.
