Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

i pulled into a garage in ludawici, GA. and a police officer pulled in behind me. the officer asked for my id and registration. i asked why he needed them and he stated again that needed my id and registration. i stated again why and he said i pulled through a gas station to avoid a light. i showed him the hotdogs, drink , cigarettes, and reciept for the gas i purchased and stated that i had actually went in to the store twice, once to pay for the gas then again for the change and my other items, so he had no need to even pull in behind me and ask for anything. he said since the blue lightys were on that the camera came on and that it was their policy to see id incase there was a problem later. i told him no and he ran my tag. the bike was purchased by my roomate the same week and was covered by under his policy the tag was from his other bike because he bought the bike from an individual and not a dealer. they found out that my license was suspended and arrested me. the offficer said that theowner of the garage i pulled into had a meth lab there and he shut him down. if i had any drugs on my bike i beeter tell him now because the dog would find them. i am a disabled vet discharged last year from ft stewart and i carry my medications with me so i gave those to him they were all legal. he then took his dog around the bike three times with the dog giving no indication of anything illegal. he then searched my bike finding nothing. i was allowed to put my belongings back into the saddle bags and lock the bags. they then put me in a patrol car on the other side of a large bush which obstructed most ofmy view of the bike. however i was able to see the back of my bike and the officers took the keys from my belongings and unlocked my bags and searched the bike again.the officer had no legal basis for pulling in behind me and asking for my license since i had broken no law to his knowledge. only his made up reason which i proved wrong immediately. and not once did i give consent to search nor did his dog show any reason. ii was charged with the tag violation, suspended license, and no insurance. the tag and insurance is taken care of by my roomates having just purchased the vehicle. insurance covers anything purchased within 30 days and 30 days to file for tag if i'm not mistaken the officer said it was 7 days which still would be legal as he bought it that week. is there anything i can do to get these charges dropped or file suit forviolation of my rights? i was trying to get my truck from the mechanic that wont answer my calls so i could sell it to pay the reinstatement fee for my license. now i had to spend my rent money for bail and towing fees so i'm getting evicted any help would be appreciated.

You need to hire a criminal defense attorney IMMEDIATELY. In general, a police officer is not permitted to pull you over unless he has probable cause to believe that you have committed a crime. The degree of justice you get is directly related to: (i) your willingness to pay for a criminal defense attorney to fight for your rights, and (ii) how far you want to push it. It's up to you.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******

You need a good lawyer imnmediately.

If you drove on a suspended licenese you face ar year's suspension, another year in jail and another $1000 in fines.

You MAY have an issue as to the stop, but generally officers can check your license for almost any reason.
