Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

I got pulled over for a suspended license and after placed in handcuffs in the back of police car he said he smelt marijuana on my clothes and searched my car. Charged with less than one ounce of marijuana and a drug related object. I have proof that my drivers license was not suppose to be suspended at the time of arrest. Some one working for the government forgot to send my paper out that stated I payed for the ticket on which I was supposedly suspended. Would this be a problem as to no probable cause to pull me over or anything? How would I get out of this possession of marijuana charge because it will effect my financial aid for school?

Get a very good criminal lawyer.

A marijuana conviction means no student loans or government scholarships (and a suspension of your drivers license), as well as possible jail and fines.

You also need to discuss the suspended license with your lawyer.
