In Sandy Springs GA I was given a ticket for missing the green arrow by 2 seconds and turning left on a yellow. Is this even a violation?

It does no good to tell us your version of the story (without even telling us the real charge) then ask for a ruling on the internet. The officer likely has a different story. The Judge will hear both.
