Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia
my son was a given a ticket for disorderly conduct (1658). Local Ordanance He was at a night club in Decatur, Dekalb County on new years eve. and the officer ask his friend to move his car. He was walking over to the car to get his coat and the officer started cussing and gave him a ticket. of course i dont know all the details but the officer gave him a ticket (with the wrong date on it, (January 1, 2010). The office also neglected to put his badge no. on the ticket. My son is in college. They have a date of Feb. 1 as his court date. Therefore, he would have to leave school to go to court. Does he have the opportunity to just pay the ticket or does he have to go to court. Or should he try to go to court and fight the charge if he believes that he didnt do anything wrong?

Generally you can't pay that ticket in advance, but, even if he could, that is a horrific idea as that is teh same as a guilty plea.
A guilty plea or conviction will stay with him for life and hurt his job chances.
Get him a good criminal lawyer. Let me stress that. He has to have a lawyer.
The mistakes on the ticket likely don't matter. They are amendable defects.
