Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia
affidavits
I need affidavits for the following:
#1- That no conservator has been appointed for the minor's estate.
#2- The value will not exceed $ 15,000 in value.
#3- That I am the natural guardian of the children.
I am requesting that my childrens benefits be transfered into a bank account so that is not controlled by the life insurance company and these are the following things that's being requested. My question is do I need legal counsel for this matter. I have already called the courts and I was told that in the state of GA I didnt need to have a court document stating I am the guardian , which I am the birth parent of each child. as long as it was not over $ 15,000 I just need some advise on this matter

Re: affidavits
An attorney needs to speak with you in order to be comfortable that they understand your goals and the possible barriers to accomplishing them. Attorneys are the proper individuals to draft legally sufficient affidavits. My firm does this type of work. Please do not hesitate to call upon us in the event that you wish to hire an attorney to assist you.
Re: affidavits
Basically, this is it but you may need to modify it a bit:
AFFIDAVIT
#1- That no conservator has been appointed for the minor's estate.
#2- The value will not exceed $ 15,000 in value.
#3- That I am the natural guardian of the children.
