Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

My brother died 4 years ago and I have his car. When I try to get it register the tag office said he had a lead on his title. I call the title max office they said I couldn't find out anything about his account without a power attorney How can I get one. Am I responsible for his unpaid loan.

You cant get a power of attorney from a dead person. And you can't just take hs car. You need to see a probate lawyer. If there is a lien (not a lead), you'd have to pay it off. You also may not be the heir anyway. If he had children or a spouse, they come ahead of you, and if he had other siblings they also have a claim.

Again, get a lawyer. You're 4 years overdue on that.
