Burial rights in GA

My husband's cousin died, and the family was told that his ''estranged'' wife will be responsible for funeral arrangements and his parents have no say in the matter. The deceased and his estranged wife have not lived together in over 2 years. Is there some legal way that we can challenge her position and make it so that his parents can make his arrangements? What would the process involve?

It's too late now, unless she agrees. He would have avoided this by divorcing prior to his death. You can't do anything to change him not doing that.
