Consent to Devise

My husband and his brother and sisters inherited their mother's home, but her will did not make provisions for them to sell I was told they could do a consent to devise. Please tell me what this is.

That's an Assent to Devise and your lawyer who is handling the probate will know when and how to draft it. The language is custom-made to each case. If you don't have counsel in this estate, the executor can call us to assist.
