credit card reward points

my husband died. we had a credit card with him as the primary and me as an authorized user. there are over 13,000 reward points that capital one will not let me redeem. my husbands will which has been probated left everything to me. it does not seem right that I cannot redeem these points.

These matters are not governed by what does or does not "seem right." They are matters governed by the contract agreed to when the card was accepted and used. Refer to the paperwork to find your answer.

Consult with an attorney to review the credit card agreement. It may be that the points expire when he dies.
