Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Death accurred in Georgia - Bank account in Florida

My minor daughter's father died while residing in Georgia leaving no will and no property other than a bank account in Florida with no beneficiary listed. The bank said I only needed a Letter of Administration from the county courthouse. Florida clerk of the court told me I needed it from where he died in Georgia, Georgia told me to talk to a Florida Atty. because the bank account is here. Who is supposed to help me with this letter of administration so that my daughter can get her money?

Since he resided in GA at the time of his death, you will need to have an administrator of his estate appointed in the county of his residence at the time of his death.

If the only asset is located in Florida, I think you should speak to a Florida attorney.
