Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia
My deceased grandfather left a will stating that a certain woman be executor of his estate. She was supposed to take care of all his debts. She didn't, and so now a large amount of money is owed to the irs. She quit being executor, but her name is still there as executor. The will states that I am supposed to get the estate when I am 21. I am now 21, and do not have any of it. I need to take over the estate, because she is mishandling. She will not communicate with anyone.
My question is: How can I legally claim/take over my grandfather's estate? What do I need to do?

Step one would be to get a lawyer. Whether you can do anything or not depends on details you have not provided but a lawyer can investigate.
You need to consult with a local attorney. If you would like to discuss your case with me, feel free to give me a call.
You can contact an attorney or attempt to do it on your own.
The Georgia Probate Court's website will provide you with essential information on what the executor should have done.
Because the estate does not have any assets, you may need to sue the executor for malfeasance and nonpayment of taxes.
