Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Estate in Probate

My dad left in his will

that his personal items

be separated ''per

sterpes'' but my sister

doesn't want any of his

cars (2) and she said

that she said that I

should have them and

she will put that in

writing. The trust officer

acting as executor is

insisting that one of the

cars be sold and my

sister and I (both adults)

think that is insane and

uncalled for. What are

your thoughts? Is there

anyway we can just

relay to the executor

that we both agree on

what to do and there is

no problem and we'll put

that in writing. Thanks

for the help.

Re: Estate in Probate

Heirs can't simply decide to tell an executor to ignore a will's language. Since no one here has read the will or other probate paperwork, it's impossible to tell you what the will requires.
