Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

My Father Estate

My Father Estate has sat in the hands of a third party for two years. The attorney refussed to speak to me and hug up the phone. She was made aware that I had belongings at the my fathers home and she said it would be no problem to get them. Now after 2yrs I recieve an e-mail on Saturday that there is going to be an Estate Sale. How can I stop this from happening it is in Atlanta Georgia. I spoke the Judge who signed off on the paper and he said he could not tell me what to do because then he would be giving Legal Advise. What can I file to stop this from happening in one week its in July.

Re: My Father Estate

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that you have your own property that was at your father's house. You should have gone and retrieved it long ago, but that is now "water under the bridge". You should contact the lawyer and the personal representative of the estate and advise them, in writing, what property is yours and that it should not be sold. If the lawyer had previously aknowledged this, that should be memorialized as well. If you have receipts or proof of ownership, you should forward that also.

Re: My Father Estate

You need to retain counsel immediately in Georgia to have the sale stopped by emergency petition.
