Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Fathers lawyer/executor

My father passed a couple of months ago. He has a will in a safety deposit box. My Fathers lawyer is also the executor of his estate. Our brother lived with our father and the lawyer has been my brothers lawyer (in other matters)now that it's time for all to be settled, my fathers executor(lawyer) refuses to talk with me or my sister, stating he is not our lawyer. Is this legal and what should we do?

Re: Fathers lawyer/executor

He may not be your lawyer, but as personal representative he may possibly have obligations to you. I suggest you first complain to the probate judge. You may be entitled to a hearing in this matter.
