my fathers will was written before the self proving law was put into effect in the state of ga what is the proccess no that it has came into effect?

Self-proven wills have been possible for a long time and are recommended, but other wills can be probated too. The main difference is that one of the witnesses needs to be found and they will have to complete and sign interrogatories.
You don't say if you father is still alive, but if he is, a self-proven affidavit can be done now and added, or he can do a new will. If he is deceased, you'll need interrogatories.
Either way, you would be well served to have the assistance of a lawyer.
