Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia
Fudiciary misconduct
Until I recently received a Disclosure Statement that taxes are delinquent on inherited property, I had no idea the original property had been divided and distributed among the heirs, of which I am one. The ''reason'' for this, is that I could not be located, yet I received the Petition for Letters of Administration (I forwarded my consent), and I received the Disclosure Statement that the property will enter foreclosure if the taxes are not paid. Several of the names on the Disclosure Statement and the deed are incorrect. My name, and the names of other rightful heirs do not appear on either. Apparently, the tax notices have been going to the home of the ''incorrect'' heirs, who are minors, and whose guardian disregarded the notices. Can I charge the administrator of the estate and/or legal representative for not notifying me? Can I correct the deed? Can I appeal the taxes due until I straighten out the deed?

Re: Fudiciary misconduct
You need to discuss this with an attorney. You will have to get the probate court to order the executor to correct the deed.
