Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

In Georgia how can the executor and probate attorney of a probate estate get relitives that are non-beneficiaries not included in the last will and testament to sign court document papers in order to move the process along. We have made numerous attempts in the past few years to get them to sign the paperwork and they do not respond or just choose to participate in the process.

When this situation comes up in New York, what we do is ask the court to issue a "citation." And once the judge signs the paper, it has to be served on the people properly. Basically what the citation does is that it sets a date for the people to come to the courthouse and "speak now, or forever hold your peace."

Good luck.
