My neighbor's husband died several years ago and she spent 11 years paying off her house. She just sold the house and wonders if since her husband did not have a will does she have to give her daughter half of the money from the sale of the house

She needs to consult with an attorney in the county where he resided when he died. It may be that since the daughter has not made a claim after all this time, she has waived it.
