Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia
My Grandmother passed away three years ago the executor has given me the deed to the property she left me but there is money left in the estate and he says the lawyer told him we have to wait another year before its released.. Is there anything I can do to get it released sooner? Its less than five thousand dollars.

No one here has seen the probate paperwork, so no one here can answer you.
It sounds like some funds are being held to deal with debt or disputed claims,. If you have doubts about the handling of the estate, you'll need to retain counsel.
