Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia
handwritten will supercede original
If I have a legal Will drawn up by an attorney, and several years later write out one by hand and have it witnessed, does the handwritten will supercede the original?

Yes, as long as it is properly prepared and executed. Note the key word is "properly". You have to decide if it is worth saving a few hundred dollars for a lawyer to make sure it is right.

yes, if the handwritten will is valid. To be valid, it must be properly witnessed. You should have it examined by an attorney to be sure.
