Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Heir to estate

My dad died on Friday, he had a will that stated his estate would go to a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter. My siter and I were not mentioned at all. Do we have legal rights as being his only blood family left alive? How do we contest this will?

Re: Heir to estate

You need advice from an attorney regarding whether you have any grounds to contest the will. He or she would first have to read the will and any related documents, then you and the attorney would need to go over all the facts and circumstances leading up to the publishing of the will. Only then could someone give you advice regarding whether you have grounds to challenge the will.
