Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

My husband has clothes. He has one son, who is welcome to have whatever he wishes. I don't think his daughter will want anything, but she as well, is welcome to have anything of his. As far as sports trophies, there are none. His war medals and any military medals he had, he has already given them to his son, several years ago. He has a lot of tools, which, if his son needs them or wants some of them, I have no problems with that. The only real property that was in his name are the 2 trucks and the sweet thing is, his two children are worried about my welfare and have been very supportive.

I don't understand the purpose of this post. This is a legal forum for general legal information. You seem to be telling us how your husband's property is given to the kids. What is the purpose of the post? If you have a question you need to repost.

You are trying to get legal advice piecemeal. You add new facts with each post.

You have gotten enough free advice from several lawyers here. Nobody is going to represent you on the internet and this forum is not a substitute for actually sitting down with a probate attorney. You must provide to the attorney copies of deeds to property, a list of items owned by your husband, whether solely or jointly and the names and ages of all his children. This is your third post on the issue and yet we are only now hearing of personal property and of the existence of a daughter.

Spend the money on a consult. It will be well worth it. Otherwise, you run the risk of turning this into a ugly and costly legal battle. Your husband just passed away. People are still in the grieving mode. I have heard countless stories though where ill ill develops between the surviving spouse and children of the deceased. Maybe things will be hunky dory here and I hope they are. But maybe they will not be. If I were you, I would get that consult with an attorney and see what needs to be done and protect your interests.

There is a time limit for seeking a spousal allowance. You have to request it from the court. If you do not ask for it you do not get it and the children are going to be entitled to 2/3rd of the value of the cars and personal items.

I am not going to answer any further questions by you. You have been advised to seek help. Whether you decide to act on that is up to you.
