Investing and Trusts for Special Needs Child

I have a special needs daughter that is about to turn 18 and she will be receiving SSI.I would like to know how I can invest or create a trust for her that will not affect the amount of SSI that she receives. My understanding is that any trusts or savings may affect her monthly SSI income.

Not sure if you have already received a response. There are trust options that will permit you to set $$ aside for your daughter an preserve her SSI qualification. The exact terms of the trust will depend on a number of factors, including the origin of the assets that will be used to fund the trust.

Let me know if I can be of assistance.
