If you cannot afford an attorney, you may be able to find free legal help. Contact Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, the Georgia Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and any other organization you can find online that offers free legal assistance to those who qualify.

Make sure you appear at all court hearings and dates. If you don't, your ex-husband's family will win.

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client relationship.******

You need a lawyer immediately. Let me stress - you need one.

If you do not get a lawyer, and if you miss any court dates or filing dates, you can expect to lose.

When you say sole beneficiary on the account, that really doesn't answer whether the money is yours. Far more information is needed.

But you have to get a lawyer. Some lawyers, if the amount at stake is large, may be willing to accept some payment from the future possible settlement.
