Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia
how long can a will be held up
How long can an executor hold up a will and all of the money if all of the parties in the will aren't in agreement. I get first chance to buy the land, and split the money with my cousins. but we're not in agreement on a price. I am the executor. What can i do?

Whether you are in agreement about the property has nothing to do with your duties as executor. You probate the will within a reasonable time. You should not hold up the probate.
Re: how long can a will be held up
An executor makes decisions about a sale in most estates so it sounds like you are in need of going to see your lawyer(and should have already asked him). This is not a do it yourself project and we, having not seen the will or his pleadings certainly cannot second guess your attorney. Rely on his advice.
