Your question is confusingm but I assume that you are one of the grandchildren that your grandmother did not have custody of. But what exactly does "heirs of the body" mean and why would this be relevant?
Where did your grandmother live at the time of her death? Did your grandmother have a will? Is your grandmother survived by a husband? Are the daughters still alive? If your grandmother had a will, what does the will say about who receives your grandmother's probate assets?
A person making a will is not obligated to leave anything to their children. The grandmother, if she wished, could have disinherited her daughters and left everything to the five grandchildren or all of her grandchildren or none of them. Assuming that none of them are adopted, then they would inherit.
If your grandmother had a will, then you should have it reviewed by a probate attorney who practices in the county/state where the estate for your grandmother would be filed. If there is no will, then your grandmother's children and any grandchildren of any deceased children would inherit.
