Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia
minor beneficiaries
my two nieces are listed as beneficiaries in my will, but my sister and her husband are in the middle of a messy divorce. how can i ensure that my soon-to-be ex-brother-in-law wouldn't get any of the money intended for the kids?

Re: minor beneficiaries
You can name someone, such as your sister, as the trustee of any property for the kids. Consult with a local attorney.

A lawyer can draft a new will with a testamentary trust that will protect the children's assets. I do those on a regular basis. Call me for details.
