Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

What can I do with this?

My mother is deceased but left no will or power of attorney. I have a check written to her. I can not cash it or deposit it so I can settle her accounts. What can I do? The only thing I have is a death cerficate with my name on it as giving the information. I have two sister only and they have signed a form that it was ok for me to be in charge of our mother's account. PLease help us?

Depending on the size of the check and her other assets you and the other heirs either need to file a probate or a no administration necessary. The first step is a consultation with a lawyer to determine which you should do.

Since there was no will, probate is not a consideration. However, administration or "no administration necessary" are your routes. Consult with a local attorney.
