Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

My mother died a year ago in a fatal car accident. I lived with her. My oldest brother help support her when she was alive. I have an older sister who was not in the picture she has received the life insurance money from my mothers policy. We received a claim from the accident. My brother did not give her the money from the accident. Now she is suing my brother and I for her share if the accident was split betweent the 3 of us. Does she have a legal case?

All three of you have a claim from the accident. The fact that your sister was out of the picture and was the beneficiary of the life insurance policy does not affect her right to her share of the accident proceeds. Consult with a local attorney for more info.
