Mothers interest in property

Mother dies owning 1/2 interest in property - nowill. Father remarries and passes away. Leaves will leaving half to present wife and 1/2 half to two children. Mothers share was never probated and remains in oringinal warranty deed. Can children sell their share as is without having some legal procedure to get property from mothers name to childrens name.
