Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Property issue

My grandmother passed away and left my dad her estate which consists of 27 acres of land. 9 months later, my dad was attempting to close out my grandmothers estate. He was going to put her property in my name and his name together as we both lived on the property. My grandmother, nor myself or my dad has ever wanted to sell the property. It is under an agricultural covenant. My dad was killed before he could transfer the property into both of our names or close my grandmothers will. Her will states that in the event he can not serve as executor, then I am the executor. I am also named executor of my dads will. I have lived and own the deed to 2 acres of land which is connected to the ''estate'' property. The problem is....there is a half sister, which my dad has been estranged from and did not want to inherit anything, and could possibly not even be his child....is named in his will. She is pressuring me to sell the property. I have offered her a buy out at fair market value and she will not accept it. Do I have any legal recourse, being I live on the property. Can she force me to sell it? She also wants me to sell my home and acreage, because it sits in the middle of the estate property. I do not want to sell.

Re: Property issue

I could spend pages and pages of text about thoughts about how to proceed. However, this type of forum does not lend itself to that. You should consult with a local attorney, since all the wills, deeds, etc. need to be reviewed.
