Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Settling Expenses of Co-Executors

My question relates to the expenses that are to be shared at the settlement of the Estate.

Are attorney fees that are for the sole purpose of co-executors fighting between themselves to be shared at the settlement?

Or does each co-executor have the burden of their own attorney fees in the case of suing and fighting between themselves?

Also, fees such as getting appraisals or other spending of funds from their own personal accounts without consent of the other co-executor?

Thank you very much,

Re: Settling Expenses of Co-Executors

Normally, in such a situation, each party must pay his/her own attorneys fees. The appraisal fee must be examined in light of the language of the will. You should consult with a local attorney to have the pertinent documents reviewed.
