Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia
warranty deeds
My grandmother is deceased and the warranty deed of her property is in her name only. Can we use a quit claim deed to change the name on the deed to her surviving heirs? Also, how could we make that into a survivorship deed if needed?

Re: warranty deeds
When a person dies, the change of title happens through a probate process. During that process an appropriate document, such as an Assent to Devise Under Will or Administrators Deed or other document is prepared by the estate's lawyer.
