Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia
Child Care Center injury
I am a Teacher Aide in a private school for 3 year old children. I was putting a child in time out and he started kicking and I put him down and he jumped into my leg and caused a sprang in my hip and thigh. And this is documented by the doctor. Question is do I get paid for the time I go to the doctor and physcial therapy?

Re: Child Care Center injury
You will need to file a workers compensation claim, which should also cover your medical expenses. When you do that, your employer can require you to see certain physicians. The information for filing workers comp claims and seeing specific doctors should be posted somewhere at your place of work (this is required under state law). Often times it is in a break room, by a time clock, in the management office or it may be in the kitchen.
