Re: Electricuted while patching a roof

You have a couple of remedies available to you in this situation. First, in Georgia when you are injured on the job you have rights to income and medical treatment pursuant to Georgia Workers Compensation law. This would be handled through your employer. Second, you may have a claim against third parties (persons other than your employer) if they were negligent in any way and that negligence caused your injuries. For example, you could possibly have an action here for products liability against the fan manufacturer and/or negligence against the property owner if the fan was set up improperly or not maintained properly. As in any case, the specific facts of the situation will govern what you may ultimately do to get help for your injuries, you should consult an experienced workers compensation attorney for more guidance on this case. If you wish, you may call me at (478) 757-8111 for more specific answers. Good luck.
