Re: settlement with worker's compensation

Determining the settlement value of a claim is very fact specific. Whether your claim is worth $175,000.00 or $125,000.00 depends on several factors such as your workers' compensation disablity benefits rate, your impairment rating, your need for future medical treatment, etc. Additionally, in most cases, the insurance company will attempt to settle well below the claims actual value. I recommend speaking with an attorney that specializes in workers' compensation to determine whether you are getting a reasonable settlement offer. Good luck.

You cannot rely on the party who is responsible for payment to agree to the maximum payment that you are eligible for; therefore, you need to employ a work comp. attorney if you have not already done so.
