You have a limited time to file a claim for workers' compensation. During the time you cannot work, you should be eligible for total disability payments. You may also have a negligence claim against individual/company responsible for the armor storage. Do not trust the insurance company's adjuster; they are only interested in getting you approved to work and off workers' compensation. The employer, if it's not federal workers comp, will have to either provide light duty employment for you or pay you workers compensation benefits while you are unable to work. We can help make sure the employer complies with the law and treats you fairly. Please call us now at 770.422.9000.Michael Parsons
