Legal Question in Administrative Law in Germany

I am a non-european citizen living in Germany. There was a party at my place and apparently someone has thrown or dropped a bottle out of the window. There was a police report about the case. However, I didn't see it, I don't know who it was and people are denying everything.

Now, there is the owner of the car coming to get the money for the damage. As I did not cause the damage - I should not pay it, right?

So, I would like to ask, what would be the possible way for me to get out of the situation, can I be charged or reported for something. And also will it somehow affect my visa.

Thank you very much.

A lot depends on the Police report: if it states that you are responsible, there is little you will be able to do.

If it becomes a criminal case, the it will affect your visa.

Under normal circumstances, damages can only be demanded from the person who committed the act. A personal liability insurance would cover that type of damage.
